Holdback
The share of daily card sales or revenue an MCA funder collects, either as a true percentage of each day's receipts or, more commonly, as a fixed daily ACH debit estimated from past revenue. Typical holdbacks run 5 to 20 percent of daily volume.
Why it matters
The gap between a fixed debit and your actual revenue is where businesses drown: the debit stays constant while sales dip. The reconciliation clause exists to close that gap, and invoking it is often the fastest legitimate payment relief available.
