We pulled the actual Better Business Bureau profile for every major merchant cash advance settlement and debt-relief firm, the accreditation status, the letter grade, and the customer-review average, and put them side by side. Every figure below was read directly from bbb.org. We do not accept compensation from any firm, and we did not soften or invent a single number.
How to read a BBB grade
The Better Business Bureau scores a business from A+ down to F, and separately marks whether it is BBB Accredited. Those two signals matter more than raw complaint counts, which simply scale with how many clients a firm serves. Accreditation requires a company to meet BBB standards and respond to complaints, so a firm that is accredited and rated A+ has both passed the bar and stayed responsive. A firm that is not accredited, or carries a C, D, or F, has not. Among MCA settlement companies, that gap is wide: a few hold A+ accredited records, while others sit at B, F, or have no BBB profile at all.

One of the cleanest BBB records in the category: A+, accredited since 2014, and just one complaint in three years. Better suited to larger mid-market restructurings than to small businesses in active funder distress.

An A+ accredited Canadian insolvency firm with a strong review record. Listed here because the brand surfaces in U.S. searches, but a U.S. business with MCA debt cannot use them.
Listed on BBB Canada, not the U.S. BBB. Spergel is a Canadian licensed insolvency trustee, a more heavily regulated category than U.S. debt settlement, and does not handle U.S. MCA cases.

Long operating history and an A letter grade, but not accredited, and 13 complaints in three years with recurring themes: funds taken but allegedly not forwarded to creditors, and disputed fees. Document every fee and verify creditor contact independently.

Stop MCA
An A grade under the operating entity, but not accredited, a below-average 3.18-star review average, and BBB notes a failure to respond to one complaint. Reviews flag aggressive, repeated sales calls.

No BBB profile exists under the brand or its underlying law-firm entity. As a litigation practice rather than a settlement company, that is less unusual, but it means no BBB record to evaluate.

Which MCA settlement company has the best BBB rating?+
Of the firms we track, Coastal Debt Resolve is the only one that is both BBB Accredited and rated A+. Second Wind Consultants is also A+ and accredited, but serves larger mid-market restructurings rather than small businesses in active distress. Several heavily marketed MCA firms are not accredited at all, and one, Corporate Rescue Advisors LLC, holds an F.
What does BBB Accreditation actually require?+
Accreditation requires a business to meet BBB standards and, critically, to respond to complaints filed against it. It is not a guarantee of quality, but a firm that is not accredited, or that has lost accreditation, has chosen not to participate in that process or failed to meet the bar.
Why do some firms have no BBB profile?+
Some firms have simply never registered with the BBB, and litigation-focused law firms often are not listed under a BBB business category at all. No profile means there is no independently tracked rating or review history to check before you sign, which is a reason to ask for references and written disclosures directly.
