Debt Settlement (MCA)
Negotiating with MCA funders to resolve balances for less than owed, commonly 30 to 60 percent reductions on distressed files, documented in written agreements that also release liens and close accounts. It reduces the number itself, unlike restructuring or consolidation which reshape payments.
Why it matters
Settlement fits when full repayment is not realistic. Complete resolutions have three parts: signed settlement agreement per position, UCC terminations on the public record, and written confirmation the account is closed. Missing any one invites the debt back later.
